Argentine international midfielder Javier Pastore has revealed that Angel Di Maria wants to leave Manchester United this summer and move to Paris Saint Germain, the Daily Express reports.
The deal that could see the winger link up with Pastore in the French capital has been rumbling on for most of the summer, with the Express even suggesting that it could be completed as early as next week.
Di Maria’s future looks to lie away from Old Trafford after he failed to link up with his teammates in the United States last weekend, which resulted in him picking up a fine of two weeks wages for going AWOL (via Daily Mirror).
And Pastore has revealed that the former Real Madrid man is keen to join him at PSG after bending his ear about moving for the second consecutive summer.
“He wants to come,” he told French newspaper Le Parisien.
“He is a very great player. Plus, he alone can win important matches.
“I told him to join us. He also asked me many questions about the club, the city and the way of life for his family.”
The pair were a part of Argentina’s Copa America squad, and though the report in the Express doesn’t confirm, it would seem to make sense that the pair discussed the move whilst on international duty.
