Juventus are planning to test Louis van Gaal’s resolve to keep Adnan Januzaj by making a bid for the winger before the end of the window, according to the Daily Express.
The Dutchman has already claimed that the 20-year-old is not available this summer, the Express report, but the Old Lady are clearly hoping that an impressive offer may make van Gaal change his mind.
The news of a bid from Massimiliano Allegri’s side comes just days after the Belgium international proved to be the hero as his goal gave the Red Devils all three points during their second game of the new Premier League season against Aston Villa.
The strike represented a real comeback from the attacking midfielder. Having made such an impact under David Moyes, and been the only real positive to come out of the former Everton manager’s tenure at Old Trafford, he appeared to be surplus to requirements during van Gaal’s first year at the helm.
His form was so inconsistent that it is difficult to imagine that many fans would have stood in his way had a sensational offer have come in. However, his start this year would suggest that van Gaal still has high hopes for the youngster.
