Manchester City are said to be on the verge of completing the signing of creative spark Kevin De Bruyne after the club agreed a fee of £50m with German side Wolfsburg, the Metro reports.
City have been linked with a move for the Belgian international throughout the majority of the summer, but the two clubs have been haggling with each other over a price.
And it now seems that a fee of £50m has been agreed for the 24-year-old former Chelsea man. Wolfsburg aren’t thought to be keen on losing De Bruyne as his 16 goals and 20 assists helped the club to a second place finish in the Bundesliga last term.
Reports in Germany claim that City have tabled an offer of £7.2m-a-year, and all that is left to be completed is the player’s medical.
City have already broken their transfer record this summer by signing Raheem Sterling from Liverpool for £49m, and that was followed up this week with the £31m capture of Nicolas Otamendi from Valencia.
