Manchester United and Arsenal have been alerted after Paris Saint-Germain midfielder Marco Verratti hinted that he would consider a move to the Premier League in the future, the Daily Express reported.
The 22-year-old has established himself as one of the key men in Laurent Blanc’s side since his move from Pescara in 2012.
While he insisted he was happy at Parc des Princes, and not currently thinking about a move, he also suggested that a switch to England may be on the cards some day (via Express).
“I’ll begin to consider leaving on the day that I no longer feel good at PSG or when the club decides to sell me,” he said.
“England, Spain, and a return to Italy are possible options,” he added.
Although both Louis van Gaal and Arsene Wenger boast plenty of depth in the middle of the park, you would imagine that if it became apparent that the Italy international was unhappy with the Ligue 1 side, they would both be willing to offer a large amount to bring him to either Old Trafford or the Emirates.
He has developed himself into one of the best deep-lying playmakers in Europe currently, and while the Red Devils have added two such players in Bastian Schweinsteiger and Morgan Schneiderlin, and Wenger has Santi Cazorla to call upon, there is little question that Verratti would strengthen both sides’ options.
