Manchester United have reportedly made a £21.9m offer plus add-ons for Lazio’s goalscoring midfielder Felipe Anderson, according to the Metro.
The Brazil international was linked with a move to Old Trafford earlier in the summer, but a deal to take him to Manchester never materialised as Louis van Gaal turned his attentions toward other targets instead (via Metro).
But so far United have been thwarted in their attempts to bring in another player to bolster their attack, and Italian publication TuttoMercatoWeb is now claiming that the Red Devils are ready to come back in for Felipe Anderson following Lazio’s exit to Bayer Leverkusen in the Champions League qualifiers this week.
According to the report, United have lodged a £21.9m offer that will be supplemented by a series of add-ons, though Lazio aren’t keen on letting him move on despite their demotion to the Europa League.
Anderson won himself a number of admirers last season after he bagged 11 goals and seven assists in 37 appearances across all competitions.
It will now likely depend on what the player wants to do as United would be able to offer him a route back into the Champions League.
