Manchester United have reportedly made a £140m offer to sign Barcelona megastar Neymar, according to the Metro.
The Brazil international’s agent, Wagner Ribeiro, was spotted in the crowd at United’s goalless draw with Newcastle at the weekend just 24 hours after reports of their interest had broken in the press.
And now the Daily Mirror is claiming that sources in Brazil have confirmed that United have made a stunning £140m offer to bring him to the club before the close of the transfer window.
Having missed out on the likes of Pedro and Bayern Munich star Thomas Muller, manager Louis van Gaal has set his sights on the 23-year-old to give his forward line a much needed boost.
Barca boss Louis Enrique remained tight lipped on the speculation following his side’s victory over Athletic Bilbao on Sunday, but Brazilian publication GloboEsporte claims that the Red Devils have met the player’s €190m buyout clause.
