Manchester United striker Javier Hernandez has reportedly rejected the chance to join Major League Soccer giants LA Galaxy, according to the Daily Express.
The Mexico international spent the previous campaign on loan with Real Madrid, but since making his return to Old Trafford over the summer his future has continued to be in doubt.
The report states that both West Ham and Tottenham have been credited with an interest in handing him a Premier League reprieve, with the former even offering £11.9m for his services (via The Express).
However, he has now reportedly received an offer to move a little closer to home with the LA Galaxy. The MLS side have made a $10m-per-season offer for the 27-year-old (via NBC Sports) in order to link him up with former Arsenal forward Giovanni Dos Santos, who has recently joined the club.
But a report in Spain explains that Hernandez has knocked the Americans back as he still harbours hopes of breaking into Louis van Gaal’s plans this season.
And he may get his chance to make an impression sooner than first thought, as he was pictured by the Daily Mail arriving with the first team at their Lowry Hotel base ahead of the Premier League opener vs Tottenham this weekend.
