Manchester United are hoping to confirm the double exit of defensive pair Victor Valdes and Jonny Evans, according to the Metro.
Manager Louis van Gaal has already made five additions to his squad this summer, and is on the hunt for one or two more before the transfer window closes on Tuesday evening, however, he has told Valdes and Evans that they are free to leave.
Former Barcelona stopper Valdes has struggled to make an impact at the club since arriving in January, making only two appearances, and is expected to join Turkish giants Besiktas on a free transfer at some point over the weekend.
Northern Irish international Evans may be staying slightly closer to home, though, as West Bromwich Albion are reported to be keen on snapping him up.
United are flying a little too close to the sun by leaving their transfer business so late as they will want another marquee signing to arrive before the window closes.
