Valencia defender Nicolas Otamendi does want to move to Manchester United this summer, according to Spanish football expert Graham Hunter.
The Red Devils became interested in the Argentinian after he enjoyed a wonderful year at the Mestalla, helping the La Liga side finish fourth in the top flight, and qualify for the play-off round of the Champions League, which is the same round from which United will enter the competition.
The Metro report that Louis van Gaal remains keen on the 27-year-old, despite Valencia reportedly slapping a £35.4m price tag upon his head, and Hunter believes that this deal has a lot going for it, including the centre-back’s own desire to move to Old Trafford.

United’s difficulties last season often came from the frailties of their inexperienced and injury-savaged defence, which often had to be bailed out by an inspired David de Gea.
With no guarantee over whether Sergio Romero, or whoever the stopper turns out to be this season, can produce a similar amount of form, the back four need to step up. Signing Otamendi will make that task much easier, and should ensure that van Gaal’s side are a much more difficult side to break down.
