Liverpool playmaker Roberto Firmino may have been overshadowed by his countryman during the Reds’ 1-0 victory over Stoke City yesterday, but he gave fans a glimpse of his quality as he scored a hat-trick during a training ground friendly over Welsh Premier League champions TNS, the Liverpool Echo reports.
The Brazilian – who arrived from Hoffenheim earlier in the summer – only played 12 minutes of the victory at the Britannia Stadium, and thus was included in the squad for the fitness game at Melwood.
Fellow new signing Danny Ings was included in the side, and got on the scoresheet from the penalty spot. But, it was Firmino that stole the show.
