Premier League giants Manchester United and Chelsea have reportedly been offered the chance to sign Corinthians striker Alexandre Pato with the former believed to hold a ‘serious interest’ in the 25-year-old, according to the Metro.
The former AC Milan man has endured a difficult year back in his native Brazil, and was even shipped out on loan to Sao Paolo after falling out with manager Mano Menezes (via Metro).
The Metro also reports that former Manchester United boss Sir Alex Ferguson had been keen on snapping him up back in 2007, but missed out on his signature to Milan.
However, the Red Devils may be given a second chance at bringing him to the club with Telegraph reporter Jason Burt claiming that Corinthians have offered him to both United and Chelsea for just £11m.
I think Man Utd in particular are now having a serious look at this one… https://t.co/AXC7yXURJY

Since leaving the San Siro in 2012, Pato has managed to bag just 17 goals in 62 appearances for Corinthians. However, his spell with Sao Paolo proved much more productive with 30 goals in 74 appearances.
United have been linked with a number of top strikers over the summer, but with the transfer deaden fast approaching Pato could provide them with an ideal solution.
