Spanish giants Sevilla are apparently becoming increasingly concerned that they are set to lose midfielder Grzegorz Krychowiak to Arsenal, who are dangerously close to triggering his release clause, according to the Metro.
The Polish international has emerged as a serious transfer target for The Gunners this week following failed ventures for the likes of Geoffrey Kondogbia and Morgan Schneiderlin (via Metro).
Reports in Spain over the past few days have claimed that Arsenal are prepared to meet the player’s £21.4m release clause, but on Thursday afternoon a report in Marca Sevilla claim that the club are now just waiting to receive the offer.
Krychowiak has already hinted that he would be open to a move to Arsenal, saying that he would find it difficult to turn down moves to certain clubs.
He was one of the standout members of La Liga’s 2014/15 team of the year, Krychowiak made 204 tackles and interceptions last season, more than anyone else in the top flight.
