Serbian international forward Adem Ljajic has revealed why he snubbed a move to the Premier League this summer in order to join Inter Milan on a season long loan, the Daily Express reports.
The 23-year-old had been consistently linked with a move to the likes of Manchester United, Liverpool and West Ham throughout the latter stages of the transfer window, but has opened up on his decision to remain in Serie A and ply his trade under Roberto Mancini.
“I am very happy to have come to Inter,” the striker told Inter Channel.
“It all happened on transfer deadline day, when I was in Belgrade with my national team, so this is my first day in Milan.
“On the last day I spoke to Roberto Mancini, he explained everything and I immediately said I didn’t even need time to think about it.
“I wanted to come here and in the end it all went well. As of today I am an Inter player and I’m very happy.”
