Arsenal are considering whether to make a January move for Boca Juniors striker Jonathan Calleri, according to the Metro.
The Gunners have lost Danny Welbeck for the next three months (via Metro), leaving Arsene Wenger’s side looking very short on attacking options. His two favoured choices, Olivier Giroud and Theo Walcott, have also spent considerable spells on the sidelines in the past, which arguably leaves the north London side in a precarious position moving forward.
Calleri is reportedly keen on a move to Europe, but is also attracting the interest of Napoli and Palermo (via Metro), meaning that Arsenal have a fight on their hands if they wish to land the exciting 21-year-old.
The Argentinian has enjoyed an excellent season – one that has been boasted by the recent arrival of former Manchester United striker Carlos Tevez – scoring seven times, and helping Boca to sit at the top of the table as they attempt to win their first league title for four years.
