Arsenal are still planning to make a move in January for Leicester City’s star winger Riyad Mahrez, according to the Metro.
The 24-year-old has been attracting the attention of Catalan giants Barcelona, but the Gunners are hoping to swoop in ahead of Luis Enrique’s men for the Algeria international (via Metro).
Mahrez – who reportedly arrived at the King Power Stadium for just £500,000 (via Daily Express) – has made a sensational start to the new campaign, so it is no surprise that some of Europe’s biggest sides are keeping a keen eye on his progress.
The attacker has been the Foxes’ talisman this term, and has arguably been the main reason that Claudio Ranieri’s side have managed to silence those who predicted that they were set for a difficult season that would ultimately end in their return to the Championship.
He has already scored four goals, while providing two assists, and was sensational in the second half of their most recent game, as they came from 2-0 down against Aston Villa to claim their third win of the season.
