Here is Tuesday’s news and gossip concerning Arsenal:
The Gunners have sent scouts to monitor the progress of Real Betis youngster Dani Ceballos, according to the Metro.
The 19-year-old has a release clause of just £7.5m and will be available on a free next summer, but is being watched by several clubs around Europe.
Arsenal are reportedly preparing a £10m offer for Basel and Switzerland striker Breel Embolo, according to the Daily Star.
The Tottenham target is also being watched by Juventus, who are set to be Arsenal’s biggest competition for his signature.
Wales star Aaron Ramsey is hoping that Chris Coleman’s team can join England in booking a place at Euro 2016, so he can potentially face some of his Arsenal teammates in France next year, the Daily Star report.
Ramsey’s side are on the verge of qualifying for the competition, which has led the midfielder to think about possibly facing the Three Lions.
“There will be a bit of banter between me and some of my teammates at Arsenal,” he said.
“It is always a great game, a committed game. I have been involved in two before. So yeah, why not play them,” he added.
Arsene Wenger has been dealt a major blow ahead of the Gunners’ clash with Stoke City at the weekend with the news that Laurent Koscielny could miss the game, the Daily Express report.
The defender missed France’s game with Serbia with a back injury, which previously kept him out against Liverpool, so is now a doubt for the Emirates clash.
Finally, Arsenal passed on the chance to bring free agent Yoann Gourcuff to the club, according to the Daily Express. The midfielder is set to sign a deal with Rennes.
