Arsenal are reportedly plotting to make a £22m bid for Juventus striker Simone Zaza in January, according to the Daily Telegraph.
The 24-year-old only moved to Juventus Stadium in the summer, but may feel forced to leave the club due to the level of competition already in Massimiliano Allegri’s squad.
The Telegraph report that his focus is on securing a place in Italy’s squad for Euro 2016, and that may be difficult if he fails to oust Paulo Dybala, Mario Mandzukic or Alvaro Morata. The trio’s presence has meant that the former Sassuolo man has not played a single minute for his new club in Serie A.
And with Danny Welbeck out until Christmas (via Telegraph), Zaza may have more luck at the Emirates, as while the England international may be available by the time a deal for the Italy international can take place, he may not be fit enough to prevent the potential new signing enjoying a run in the side.
Zaza may not be the only attacking arrival in the near future, as the Metro report that Zlatan Ibrahimovic has reportedly decided that he wishes to leave Paris Saint-Germain next summer.
The Gunners were keen on the 33-year-old during the window just gone, but may have more success at the end of the season, now the Swede wishes to leave Parc des Princes (via Metro).
