Barcelona have somewhat surprisingly included Leicester City winger and Arsenal target Riyad Mahrez on a shortlist of potential replacements for Pedro, according to the Daily Mail.
The Spaniard moved to Chelsea during the summer, and Luis Enrique has earmarked the 24-year-old as someone who has the capability to fill the void he leaves behind at the Nou Camp.
However, that news may worry Arsene Wenger, who the Mail report was interested in bringing the Algeria international to the Emirates after he made a lightning start to the new campaign.
Mahrez has scored four in as many games as Claudio Ranieri’s side defied pre-season expectations to go into the international break sitting third in the table on eight points after an unbeaten start.
And while Wenger may be concerned that Mahrez may find the Catalan giants too difficult to turn down, the Mail suggest that he is not the only man being pursued.
Manchester City’s Jesus Navas and Celta Vigo’s Nolito are the other names on the shortlist that has been drawn up for when Barca’s transfer embargo ends in January (via Mail).
