Chelsea are said to be lining up am £88m deadline day offer to sign Juventus star Paul Pogba, according to the Metro.
Pogba has been the subject of intense speculation throughout the summer transfer window with a number of top European sides all said to be monitoring his situation in Turin.
The Blues have been rumoured to be weighing up a big money move in the days leading up to the transfer deadline (via Metro) and now a report in the Daily Express is claiming that the Premier League champions will lodge an £88m offer before Tuesday’s 6pm cut off.
The report suggests that completing the move at such a late stage may not be as difficult as first feared. Juve would find such a big money fee difficult to turn down, and having signed Brazilian midfielder Hernanes on Italian deadline day they have a suitable replacement in their ranks.
The Metro round the story off by suggesting that Pogba is fishing for a salary of around £300,000-per-week to make the move to Stamford Bridge.
