Manchester United are considering whether to potentially offer Adnan Januzaj as part of a deal that would see long-time target Marco Reus move to Old Trafford next summer, according to the Sunday People.
The Belgian moved to the Westfalenstadion on a season-long loan despite appearing to be a part of Louis van Gaal’s plans this season – and scoring the only goal during the hard-fought victory over Aston Villa – and it appears that the Red Devils are now willing to let the 20-year-old join the Bundesliga outfit permanently, as long as it means that Reus heads in the opposite direction.
The People suggest that van Gaal is a huge admirer of the Germany international, and wants to finally get him next summer.
The 26-year-old has made an excellent start to the new season, and has been an integral part of the Dortmund side that are trying to continue their recovery following a dreadful start to the previous term. His two goals in the first three games have helped Thomas Tuchel’s side set the early pace alongside Bayern Munich, and should he continue that form, United may find that they are one of several clubs seriously chasing his signature.
