The agent of Manchester United goalkeeper Victor Valdes has confirmed that the player will likely make an exit from the club in the January transfer window after being axed by manager Louis van Gaal, the Metro reports.
The former Barcelona custodian has featured just twice for the United first team since joining as a free agent back in January.
However, the 33-year-old fell foul of the Dutchman after reportedly refusing to play in a game for the under-21 side and was then left out of the squad’s pre-season tour of the United States.
And now agent Gines Carvajal has told Radio Marca that his client will be heading for the exit door at the first opportunity.
“He needs to go to a place he feels is right for him,” Carvajal said.
“He won’t be coming to Spain unless he decides otherwise.
“It’s obvious he must leave in January and we are looking to find a move that he likes.
“He had the option of coming to Valencia in the summer and did not want to.”
