Brazilian giants Corinthians have told Manchester United and Arsenal that they can sign striker Alexandre Pato providing they cough up £18.5m, according to the Metro.
The former AC Milan front man was once one of the most prized strikers in the game when he first broke onto the scene, but has recently seen his stock fall after failing to live up to the hype.
However, he was heavily linked with moves to both Arsenal and United during the closing weeks of the summer transfer window as both sides were left searching for a new striker (via Metro).
Corinthians are apparently still open to a sale, with the club’s deputy director of football Eduardo Ferreira confirming that an offer just shy of £19m will be enough to prize him away and take him back to Europe.
“At the moment there are only enquiries,” Ferreira told Globo Esporte.
“But if a club comes in with an offer of €25m (18.5m), we will let him go, otherwise he will return in January.”
