Arsenal are believed to be lining up a move for young Brazilian striker Luis Henrique, according to the Daily Express.
A report in Goal Brazil claims that super agent Kia Joorabchian is searching for a new club that would be interested in taking on the 17-year-old on in the new year (via Express).
However, the Express also states that the Gunners aren’t alone in their interest in Henrique, as a number of top European clubs are also thought to be keen on snapping him up.
As it stands, Wenger sees Henrique as a signing for the future and that he would provide cover for current front men Olivier Giroud and Theo Walcott (via Express).
Henrique may only be 17, but he has already began to make an impact on the Botafogo first team, having bagged himself a brace on his debut earlier in the season. And having notched four goals in 14 appearances for the Serie B side, he earned himself a call up to the Brazil U17 side to travel to the World Cup in Chile in late October (via Express).
The Express round off their report by stating that Henrique is still under contract with Botafogo until 2017, but has a release clause in his contract set at just £10.5m.
