Young Barcelona defensive midfielder Sergi Samper would apparently welcome the chance to join Arsenal should The Gunners make him an offer, according to the Metro.
The 20-year-old has still yet to make an impact in the first team under Luis Enrique and the Metro reports that he is now assessing his options with the aim of finding more regular first team football.
A report in Spain claims that his chance may come from Arsenal, after he expressed an interest in following in the footsteps of compatriot Cesc Fabregas, who also made the move from Barcelona to Arsenal at a young age.
The Metro states that Samper has an £8.5m release clause installed in his contract, and could make the move to North London as early as the January transfer market.
