Carlo Ancelotti has virtually ruled himself out of the race to become the next Liverpool boss after declaring that he doesn’t intend to return to management until next season, according to the Daily Mirror.
The Italian tactician has been out of work since he was given his marching orders by Real Madrid at the end of last season and has since been tipped as one of the names in the frame to take over at Anfield following Brendan Rodgers’ sacking.
However, despite reports surfacing claiming that former Borussia Dortmund coach Jurgen Klopp could be in place by Friday, Ancelotti has insisted that he is happy to bide his time on the sidelines for another few months at least.
“I enjoy my time now but of course I want to come back to manage – to work – because it is my passion,” he said.
“I want to take my time to rest, but next season I am ready.”
