Chelsea are said to be lining up a stunning yet ambitious quadruple move for Atletico Madrid stars Antoine Griezmann, Diego Godin and Koke as well as manager Diego Simeone, according to the Metro.
After a poor start to the new season, both players and manager Jose Mourinho have come in for some serious criticism, with several names now finding their positions at the club come under pressure (via Metro).
And now, a report in Spanish publication AS claims that the defending Premier League champions are hoping to snap up the spine of the Atletico side by bringing Griezmann, Godin and midfielder Koke to Stamford Bridge.
However, seemingly aware of Chelsea’s interest, the Metro report that Atletico have moved to offer all three players new deals with higher buyout clauses.
And the Metro also state that Blues owner Roman Abramovic is weighing up a £14.8m offer to get Simeone out of his contract at the Vicente Calderon.
After signing Diego Costa and Felipe Luis from the La Liga giants, this latest news would suggest that Chelsea are ready to tempt Atletico once again.
