Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has reportedly informed club chiefs that he wants to sign starlet Porto midfielder Ruben Neves, according to the Metro.
The 18-year-old is already making a positive impact at the club and is being tipped to be a future star, with the likes of Barcelona, Real Madrid and Chelsea being linked with his signature recently (via Metro).
However, according to Italian publication Tuttomercatoweb The Reds have thrown their own hat into the ring to land his signature with Klopp telling his board that he wants to bring the midfielder to Anfield.
With interest in the youngster skyrocketing, Neves could be in line to leave the Portuguese giants as soon as January, though it is unlikely that Porto would accept anything less than the £29m release clause installed in his contract (via Metro).
The Metro state that Neves has been likened to Barcelona star Sergio Busquets by former Barca winger Cristian Tello, who had previously lined up alongside with the Spaniard during his own time at the Nou Camp.
