Manchester United have been handed a huge boost ahead of the upcoming derby with Manchester City as both Sergio Aguero and David Silva will likely be missing through injury, the Metro reports.
The two sides meet after the international break on October 25th, but City may have to go into the game without their two best players as they picked up knocks while on international duty.
Aguero suffered a hamstring injury whilst playing for Argentina against Ecuador, and is almost definitely certain to be ruled out.
Speaking with reporters after the game he said: “I think I’ll be a month without playing.”
Meanwhile, Silva limped out of Spain’s victory over minnows Luxembourg on Friday night, which AS.com seem to think is an ankle sprain that will keep him out between two and three weeks.
And though he stands a better chance than Aguero at making the cut, he would still be cutting it too fine for anyone’s liking, which is bad news for City fans.
