Arsenal have been finally handed some respite with their injury problems. Daily Mirror is reporting that forward Alexis Sanchez’s hamstring injury is not as severe as initially feared and the Chilean star should be back in action before Christmas.
The former Barcelona man limped off in the 1-1 draw with Norwich City, the game that also witnessed injuries to Laurent Koscielny and Santi Cazorla.
According to the report, Sanchez might also have an outside chance to feature in the crucial fixture against table-toppers Man City at Emirates Stadium on December 21.
In another positive injury update, striker Theo Walcott has returned to full training, and he may make it to the squad for the Sunday’s home fixture against Sunderland.
The England International had been missing in action since October when he injured his hamstring in the Capital One Cup clash against Sheffield Wednesday.
Centre-back Laurent Koscielny has already been reported to be fit for the Sunderland game while midfielder Santi Cazorla is waiting for his scan results to learn the full extent of his injury.
