Chelsea, yesterday, submitted the planning application for a new and improved Stamford Bridge (Pictured above from Herzog de Meuron). The modified stadium will be able to seat 60,000 fans.
This is a major upgrade on the stadium’s current capacity of 42,000 approx. The improved capacity will make Stamford Bridge the third largest in Premier League behind Old Trafford and Emirates Stadium.
But not everyone was impressed with the stadium’s design as some people on Twitter decided to make fun of the stadium’s new peculiar look.
