Chelsea have been handed a major boost in their pursuit of Antoine Griezmann, with the Atletico striker reportedly being open for a summer move. Meanwhile, Real Madrid are pushing to land Eden Hazard.
Griezmann has been linked with a move away from Atletico Madrid this season, with a number of big clubs interested in the Frenchman, but Chelsea are seen as the frontrunners to sign him if he opts to leaves La Liga.
The Blues have now been handed a boost in their pursuit, with Sky Sports’ Guillem Balague revealing the 24-year-old is open to offers.
“Nothing has changed. He wants to have a really good season and see what happens in the summer. He is open to offers,” Balague said in his transfer column.
He also added: “Atletico don’t want Griezmann to go, but they understand if somebody comes with the right amount of money he may go.”
On top, Atletico are keen to keep their star player after being slammed with a transfer ban by FIFA. However, coach Diego Simeone revealed last week that he “cannot keep Griezmann in chains if he wishes to leave.”
Griezmann has scored 12 goals in 21 league appearances for Atletico, while also hitting the net four times in the Champions League for the current La Liga leaders.
Meanwhile, Real Madrid are looking to make a serious push for Hazard. Goal are quoting renowned Spanish journalist Eduardo Inda, who claims the Belgian is first on Zinedine Zidane’s transfer wish list.
Like Atletico, Real have been slammed with a FIFA transfer ban and are keen to deal during this transfer window. Inda also claimed the Spanish giants are looking to sign Neymar and David De Gea.
