The earlier-than-expected return to fitness of midfielder Francis Coquelin has lifted the spirits of Arsenal fans.
The Frenchman suffered a calf strain in November’s defeat against West Brom. In his absence, the Gunners have clearly struggled with their form.
Pessimism and despair had crept into Arsenal’s camp following last week’s defeat to Chelsea, but the return of the midfielder has suddenly charged up the Gooners for the title challenge.
Coquelin is back, Rosicky back. Welbeck, Wilshere and Cazorla almost back. Look, I told you we would be busy in January!

Great to hear that Francis Coquelin is fit and ready to play on Saturday. Will be a big player for Arsenal in the run-in.
