Chelsea striker Radamel Falcao looks to end his season at Stamford Bridge. Monaco don’t want to call the Colombian back from loan as he’s injured, according to Sky Sports.
Falcao has seen little playing time since joining The Blues on loan from the Ligue 1 giants. The striker has scored just one goal so far and hasn’t seen any action since the end of October due to a tigh injury.
The 29-year-old was back at Monaco’s training ground this week to check up on his injury and the club believes Falcao will be due for an extended spell on the sideline.
Therefore, calling the Colombian back from loan is not an option for Monaco. Vice-president Vadim Vasilyev said in an interview on the club’s DailyMotion page: “Falcao is currently injured. He has six to eight weeks to go like that. We have decided not to take him back to Monaco for the moment.”
When it rains, it pours. That’s the situation in which Falcao’s living at the moment. He also endured a pedestrian loan spell at Manchester United last season. His contract expires in 2018 after Monaco signed the striker from Atletico Madrid in 2013 for £52m.
