Luis Suarez has revealed that his former club Liverpool are the only Premier League team he would consider playing for, according to The Daily Mail.
The Barcelona gunner is currently very happy in Spain, and told Jamie Carragher that he is hoping to stay with the Primera Division giants for the foreseeable future.
However, the 29-year-old didn’t shut the door completely on a move back to the English top-flight, but only with the team he played for between 2011 and 2014.
“If I had to return to the Premier League, I would only go to Liverpool. I wouldn’t go to another team”, Suarez said.
“It wouldn’t be a move for money. I’d also love to play again for Ajax, as they allowed me to develop as a player in Europe.”
The man from Uruguay scored a total of 82 goals in 133 appearances for the Reds, while also providing 53 assists, before leaving Anfield for Camp Nou in the summer of 2014 for a £60.75 million transfer fee.
He joined Liverpool in 2011 from Dutch side Ajax, while also playing for Groningen and Nacional.
Suarez has scored 36 goals in 34 appearances for Barcelona this season, leading La Liga by three points over Atletico de Madrid and four points over Real Madrid, while having played one game less this season.
The Blaugrana are taking on Arsenal in the round of 16 in the Champions League.
