Chelsea star Eden Hazard has been linked with moves to Real Madrid and Paris Saint-Germain recently.
Various reports have suggested that the Belgian playmaker is not happy with his current situation at the West London club and is looking for a move abroad.
His comments to Le Parisien magazine prior to the Champions League fixture with PSG further suggested that the 25-year old’s future might lie somewhere else. He claimed that it would be hard for him to turn down a move to PSG in the future.
However, Chelsea manager Guus Hiddink has claimed that Hazard is happy at Stamford Bridge and intends to stay at the club for the foreseeable future.
Hiddink, speaking in his press conference before the FA clash with Manchester City, said according to ESPN FC: “Every now and then I have short conversations with him and ask him about the situation et cetera.
“But he is very keen to be here. He has extended his contract, he is happy here, his family are happy here.
“There is no sign from his side to say, ‘No, I am eager to go’. Not whatsoever, he is happy.”
The Dutchman also indicated that the Belgian is not performing to his levels at the moment and has called upon him to improve his performances for the Blues.
“I remember once he had a sprint on our right-hand side [in the loss to PSG on Tuesday night],” Hiddink added.
“That’s the old Hazard and we hope to see that more frequently. He’s showing once, but he can show more, he’s aware of that. Now it’s up to him to step up.”
Hazard, who won Premier League Player of the Year award last season, is yet to open his goal scoring account in the Premier League this season.
