Leicester City striker Jamie Vardy is set to sign a new massive deal with his club, according to latest reports.
Daily Star claims that the Foxes have offered a new three-and-a-half-year contract to the 29-year-old to ward off the interests from Chelsea and Liverpool in his services. The new deal will keep the player at King Power Stadium until the summer of 2019.
Vardy will earn £70,000 a week wages in his new contract and will become the highest paid player in the club’s history.
The England international continued his exceptional goalscoring form by scoring a brace in the 2-0 win over Liverpool last night.
He has now scored 18 goals in 24 league appearances for the Foxes this season and is leading the season’s goalscoring charts in the Premier League.
His performances have played a major part in the Foxes’ unprecedented run this season. They currently sit at the top of the Premier League, three points ahead of Manchester City and five ahead of Arsenal.
The Foxes will travel to Man City for the top-of-the-table clash on Saturday.
