The Premier League and its ticket prices, it’s been a hot topic recently, with Liverpool fans protesting a 30 per cent rise and eventually getting the Reds’ management to reverse the decision.
Now, Eurosport has revealed the ticket price per goal for all 20 Premier League clubs.
Like in the standings, Leicester City lead the way, with fans of the Foxes having effectively paid only £7.76 for every goal they have witnessed. There have been 34 goals scored at the King Power Stadium in a dozen matches so far, 21 by Leicester.
West Ham are second, with a cost-per-goal of £8.82, while Newcastle United come in third with £9.24, just in front of Everton with £9.29. Fans at Goodison Park have seen a total of 49 goals this season, most in the league, together with the fans at Manchester City’s Etihad Stadium. But they pay £11.14 per goal.
Chelsea fans have witnessed the most away goals scored at Stamford Bridge (20) and have paid £16.49 per goal. Only Manchester United (£18.60) and Watford (£19.50) fans have a higher cost-per-goal ratio.
United have managed to score just 15 goals at Old Trafford and have conceded five so far.
