Manchester City striker Sergio Aguero wants to end his career at the club. The 27-year-old is set to sign a contract until 2020, but is willing to stay even longer, according to The Independent.
The Argentinian has been linked with a move to Spanish giants Barcelona, as he’s known to be a close friend to Lionel Messi. The Blaugrana attempted to sign him in 2014, switching their interest to Liverpool’s Luis Suarez after City refused to sell their star goal getter.
Also Real Madrid have expressed their interest on more than one occasion, as the striker spent five years in Spain’s capital with city rivals Atletico.
However, Aguero is keen on staying with the Citizens, as he’s set to sign a new deal that will tie him to the club until 2020, meaning he’s excited to be a key player during Pep Guardiola’s stay at the Emirates. On top, he is prepared to stay until he retires, The Independent states.
Aguero joined Man City during the summer of 2011 from Atletico for a £38 million transfer fee. Since, he has helped them win two Premier League titles, and also won the League Cup in 2014.
The 27-year-old has scored 125 goals in 190 appearances for the Citizens, with 92 of those coming in the Premier Leaugue.
