Liverpool are planning to spend big in the summer transfer window, according to former professional player Mickey Quinn.
The former Newcastle and Portsmouth star, who was born and bred in Liverpool, claims that manager Jurgen Klopp has identified Ignacio Camacho, Lucas Moura and Granit Xhaka as transfer targets and has asked the board to secure their signings.
He told talkSPORT: “Ignacio Camacho, Lucas Moura and Granit Xhaka are all on the [Liverpool] hit list, and if he [Klopp] gets them, it’ll be an exciting season for Liverpool next year.”
Malaga’s defensive midfielder Ignacio Camacho has a £15 million buyout clause in his contract and has been previously linked with a move to Anfield. However, he has suffered his share of injury problems during the past year and his fitness will play a significant role in a possible transfer.
The Reds have also been touted as the favourites to sign Borussia Monchengladbach midfielder Granit Xhaka. The Swiss international is valued at £37 million by the Bundesliga club.
The Merseysiders are also known to have an interest in PSG winger Lucas Moura. The Reds were linked with a move for the Brazilian during the January transfer window and are expected to revive their interest in the summer. Moura is valued at £30 million by his club.
