The Times chief football writer Henry Winter has claimed that Arsenal will probably sign Leicester City midfielder N’Golo Kante.
The 25-year-old has been an outstanding central midfielder in the Premier League this season, signing for the Foxes for a transfer fee of only £5.6 million from Caen last summer.
Winter was speaking at the Arsenal Supporters Trust on Monday night, and also claimed that Riyad Mahrez is expected to leave the Foxes in the summer.
HW suggests that Leicester City will lose likes of Mahrez and Kante, with the latter joining Arsenal.

Henry Winter says off the cuff without giving it second thought that “Kante will probably come to Arsenal next year”

Kante is widely considered to be a main factor in Leicester’s superb run this season and the Frenchman’s performances for the Foxes earned him a national call-up for the friendlies against the Netherlands and Russia in March, immediately scoring a goal against the Russians.
He has made 32 league appearances for the current Premier League leaders and has averaged 4.6 tackles per game and 4.2 interceptions per game this season.
The Gunners have also been linked with a move for Borussia Monchengladbach midfielder Granit Xhaka, so it appears that Arsene Wenger intends to strengthen his midfield in the summer transfer window.
Kante has previously hinted that he might consider a transfer move in the summer if major European clubs come calling for him.
