Chelsea have reignited their interest in Valencia defender Aymen Abdennour, according to the latest reports. The Blues attempted to sign the centre-back from Ligue 1 club Monaco last summer, but he opted to move to Valencia.
However, Los Che have struggled in La Liga this season and the Tunisia international has failed to cement his spot in the starting eleven.
Now, according to Italian publication Tuttomercatoweb, via talkSPORT, the West London club have once again registered their interest in the 26-year-old as he features on Antonio Conte’s summer shopping list. AC Milan and Atletico Madrid are also said to be interested in the player.
Meanwhile, Chelsea have held positive talks with Real Betis about extending Charly Musonda’s loan spell, according to Betis president Angel Haro Garcia in Mundo Deportivo.
The 19-year-old Belgian has become a regular starter at the Primera Division club since joining them on loan at the end of the January transfer window, and has impressed with his performances.
Haro Garcia confirmed talks between the two clubs and Musonda’s family were held on Monday, while expressing his hope that Betis may be able to keep Musonda on loan for another season.
