Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp is interested in bringing former Newcastle United star Hatem Ben Arfa to Anfield.
The Sun has exclusively claimed that Ben Arfa is set for a return to the Premier League as Klopp is set to make a move for him in the transfer window. The 27-year-old is currently playing for Ligue 1 club Nice and seemed to have rediscovered his lost form.
Ben Arfa was once considered one of the best talents in French football and signed for Newcastle in 2011. However, disciplinary problems consistently affected his career in England, and he failed to live up to the expectations on a consistent basis.
He joined Hull City on loan in 2014 but soon fell out with manager Steve Bruce. He was later released from his contract by Newcastle in January 2015. The mercurial winger has finally seemed to find a perfect environment to play at Nice and has scored 16 league goals this season.
His performances this season have attracted attentions of many clubs. Ligue 1 giants Paris Saint-Germain as well as AC Milan, Inter Milan, Barcelona and Borussia Dortmund are also said to be interested in the player.
