Arsenal are facing competition from Serie A giants Juventus in their pursuit of Borussia Dortmund midfielder Henrikh Mkhitaryan.
Last month, reports suggested that the Gunners were close to finalising a move for the 27-year-old, as he was already house-hunting in London.
However, according to the latest report from transfermarketweb, Juventus are planning to hijack Arsenal’s move and are ready to launch a £24 million bid for the Armenia international.
Mkhitaryan’s current deal with Dortmund expires in 2017, and it has been suggested that the Bundesliga club are planning to sell him in the summer.
Moving on, the agent of another target of the North London club – Alen Halilovic – has confirmed interests of a couple of Premier League clubs in his client.
The 19-year-old moved to Barcelona from Dinamo Zagreb in 2014 and he is currently playing for Sporting Gijon on a loan move. Halilovic’s agent, Zoran Stojadinovic, has suggested that two Premier League clubs and two Bundesliga clubs have expressed interests in his client.
“There is a real interest from two English clubs and two other Germans, all of them world-class,” Stojadinovic told Goal.
“Barcelona will not address this issue until they finish the season. The desire of Alen is very clear, to go back to Barcelona, take minutes and score goals.”
Tottenham and Manchester United have been linked with the player in the past.
