With Jose Mourinho now fully in charge of Manchester United’s squad, the Red Devils are expected to overhaul their squad with a massive spending spree during the summer transfer window.
Mourinho is known to be a big fan of Brazilian star Willian, whom the Portuguese coached at Chelsea. He is reported to be plotting a £60 million move to make Willian his first signing at Old Trafford.
However, according to a report by The Evening Standard (via The Independent), the Blues will issue a hands off warning to Mourinho over the Brazil international. Antonio Conte will not entertain the idea of selling Willian to United, but the incoming Chelsea boss is willing to let fellow Brazil international Oscar leave this summer.
Meanwhile, United and Chelsea are set for a battle over Sporting Lisbon winger Joao Mario. According to a report by Bleacher Report, the 23-year-old has distanced himself from the rumours, however, saying he is fully focused on Portugal’s Euro 2016 campaign.
Mario provided seven goals and 12 assists in 45 appearances in all competitions, and is rated at £47 million by the Liga NOS outfit.
