Chelsea are in for a busy summer, as the Blues are expecting to make major moves on the transfer market to overhaul their squad and forget about their poor Premier League season.
Incoming manager Antonio Conte is said to have strong relationships with Serie A clubs and that has already resulted in a bid for AS Roma midfielder Radja Nainggolan, though their first offer was rejected.
However, according to La Gazzetta dello Sport’s Emanuele Giulianelli, Juventus full-back Stephan Lichtsteiner has verbally agreed to join Chelsea this summer with his place in Turin set to come under threat from Dani Alves’ arrival from Barcelona.
The 32-year-old Switzerland international joined the Old Lady in 2011 from Lazio for £7.5 million and has won five Serie A titles, four Italian Super Cups, and two Italian Cups since.
Meanwhile, Chelsea are expecting a massive offer from Atletico Madrid for striker Diego Costa, according to a report by The Daily Star.
Manager Diego Simeone has told Atletico he will only stay at the club if they bring the 27-year-old Spaniard back to the Vicente Calderon this summer. Costa left the La Liga giants in 2014 for Stamford Bridge in a £28.5 million deal.
