With Jose Mourinho now fully in charge of Manchester United’s squad, the Red Devils are expected to overhaul their squad with a massive spending spree during the summer transfer window.
The Portuguese has been looking at Chelsea to lure in a couple of star players, one being Willian. However, the Blues will issue a hands off warning to Mourinho over the Brazil international.
Mourinho isn’t easily deterred and according to a report by the Daily Express, Eden Hazard has been in talks with Mourinho over joining United. The Belgian thrived under the Portuguese, winning the Premier League’s Player of the Season award as well as the league title last season.
However, Hazard performed well under all expectations this season and there have been many rumours in recent months that the Belgium international will leave Stamford Bridge in the summer.
Could Old Trafford be his next destination? Mourinho will be handed a £200 million transfer kit and, according to the report, he’s already been in touch with Hazard over a possible reunion.
Chelsea will not sell one of their star players easily, especially to a league rival, but they may be willing to sell if the Red Devils table an offer between £65 million and £75 million.
