Chelsea striker Diego Costa wants to return to his former club Atletico Madrid, according to the latest reports.
The Spain international was consistently linked with an exit from the club last season and now Atletico president has confirmed that the 27-year-old wants to return.
Atletico president Enrique Cerezo was quoted by Antena 3 Sports, via Metro, as saying: ‘We are there, he wants to come. But that is already complicated.’
Costa moved to Stamford Bridge in a £32million move in 2014. He helped the Blues secure the league title in his first year with the club.
However, his second season at the club was marred with controversies related to his on-pitch behaviour.
Chelsea midfielder Nemanja Matic has also been linked with an exit from the club.
ESPN FC claims that Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho wants to bring the Serbia international to the Manchester club.
The 27-year-old struggled with his form at Stamford Bridge last season and is said to be keen on reuniting with his former manager at Old Trafford.
Matic is expected to lose his spot in the starting eleven under incoming manager Antonio Conte as the Italian is keen on bringing AS Roma midfielder Radja Nainggolan to the West London club.
