Liverpool forward Mario Balotelli has denied allegations that he was involved in a pub brawl.
Earlier, Italian publication Corriere della Sera has reported that Balotelli was involved in an ugly pub brawl on the weekend which resulted in one man losing his three fingers.
The incident was said to have taken place near Brescia on Saturday night.
However, the Liverpool player, who spent last season on loan at AC Milan, has vehemently denied the allegations on his Instagram account.
The 25-year-old took to Instagram to wish good luck to the Italian national team, who will kick off their Euro Cup campaign against Belgium tonight.
He also suggested that Italian newspapers should concentrate on Azzurri rather than fabricate stories about his private life.
Balotelli announced himself on the international stage after scoring a brace against Germany in the semi-final of the 2012 edition of the continental competition.
However, since then his career has nosedived and he finds himself out of the national squad. Nevertheless, he will be following the progress of his Antonio Conte’s team from the comfort of his home.
