With Jose Mourinho coming in as the club’s new manager, a set of Manchester United players are primed to leave Old Trafford this summer. Two of them are Daley Blind and Morgan Schneiderlin.
Arsenal are set to make a move for Blind, with the Netherlands international’s future up in the air following Mourinho’s arrival at the club, according to The Sunday People.
It’s noted in the piece that Mourinho is unsure about whether he has a place for the Dutchman, said to be valued at around £16 million, in his squad and that the Gunners have emerged as suitors.
The 26-year-old joined the Red Devils in the summer of 2014 from Ajax for £13.1 million and made a total of 56 appearances in all competitions last season, providing two goals and three assists, and winning the FA Cup.
Meanwhile, new Everton manager Ronald Koeman is monitoring Schneiderlin’s situation at Manchester United and could look to sign a player he managed while at Southampton, also according to The Sunday People.
The Red Devils paid a solid £26.3 million for the 26-year-old last summer, but the French midfielder was unable to play consistently under Louis Van Gaal, making 29 Premier League appearances and 39 appearances in all competitions, providing only one goals and one assist.
