Conflicting reports have emerged regarding Leicester City midfielder N’Golo’s potential move to Chelsea.
French newspaper Le Parisien have claimed that the Blues have agreed a £29 million transfer fee with the Foxes for the 25-year-old midfielder. The report claims that he is expected to sign a five-year deal with the West London club.
However, Leicester Mercury has rejected the Le Parisien’s report claiming that no deal agreement has been reached between two clubs for Kante.
Mercury writes that the Foxes are determined to keep Kante at the club and are hopeful that he will sign a new deal with the Premier League champions, who have reportedly offered Kante a new contract that will see him earn £100,000-a-week wages.
The defensive midfielder has become one of the most-sought-after players in Europe following his exploits in the league-winning season with the Foxes.
The likes of Chelsea, Real Madrid, Juventus, Arsenal, Paris Saint-Germain, Manchester United and Shanghai SIPG have reportedly expressed their interests in the player.
Kante, who represented France in the recently concluded Euro Cup, moved to Leicester in a £5.6 million deal from Ligue 1 club Caen last summer.
